"Buildings are contributing to 39% carbon emissions and also absorbing 40% of the total of global energy consumption, where the rest is coming from industry and transportation. Therefore, the development planning of buildings and the use of energy efficient technology are the basis for energy efficiency in buildings," said Chris Mathis, the member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) at the seminar on "Energy Efficiency in Commercial Buildings" in Bali, on 28 May 2016, which conducted as the cooperation between ASHRAE, Polytechnic of Bali and the Association of Chief Engineer (ACE) Bali.
